Today we read a certified Christmas Classic story. "How the Grinch Stole Christmas" was originally published in 1957. I don't know why the hell I thought it was in the late 1800's. I might have just thought that the plot was a tad archaic because of a monster being profiled terrorizing a community was a sound theme in like 1860. Either way this story was incredible to actually read. The rhyming format is beautiful and flows well, Dr. Seuss could have been a rapper today and still be better than 80% of the rappers today. Fun Fact, he was 53 years old when he wrote the Grinch. Another fun fact, the Grinch waited 53 years to go into whoville to infiltrate their town. It has been theorized that this story was for Seuss himself as he was not the biggest fan of the "materialism" that Christmas seemed to embody. Either way, this was incredible and I hope you have a good time listening.
