Short Story Bingo 20 - "Haunted House in Chino, California"
Friday Dec 29, 2017
Friday Dec 29, 2017
*Explicit Content* In this episode I read out of, "Strange Twist of Fate".
It is that time again. Short Story Bingo is not slowing down with the material to deliver. This week is no different as we read from a true story of some paranormal phenomena! Time always tells how much we are working. That is why the new year of 2018 is so fun to look at with optimism. Thank you so much for listening on the revamp of the BEST podcast in the world. In this episode I read about a specter that makes sure to let the family that inhabitates the house he could not leave that he has no intention of leaving soon. While reading this I must admit that I had some memories pop up. I know what it means to have an entity attach itself to you as I have expereinced it myself. This has been one helluva ride, and I can't wait for what the future holds. Happy New Year to all of you! This story will make you think about what is going on in your home and what thhat creak in the stari might be. Midway through I felt a chill in my spine, this runs the gammit of being a classic as it tip toes the line of being so real to touch. With that in mind...Sit back, take a load off, or listen on your ride to work, take your shower, whatever activity you find yourself doing - ENJOY a new episode of Short...Story...Bingo!

Short Story Bingo 18 (W/ Mandy Chacon) - "A Psychological Experiment"
Friday Dec 15, 2017
Friday Dec 15, 2017
*Explicit Content* In this episode I read from, "Great Horror Stories: 101 Chilling Tales".
Damn, are w ereally only two episodes away from #20? 16 days away from 2018? 261 days until my birthday (09-03)?! Yes! They are all true. Another thing that is true, my wife and I laugh our asses aff all the time. This blip of time is no different. I finally got her on the show after 17 episodes! She did great and I am sure, will be back on soon. Her laugh is infectious and her wit is sharp as the best of 'em. You are withoubt a doubt are going to fall in love with her little chuckle. She told me that she wanted to read a horror story or an extra funny one, and since I know most of my fans are into some of the crime stories that I am - we went with the horror genre. This story was published in 1900! Yeah, you read that right. Richard Marsh was a master of his time in spine tingling thrillers. In, "A Psychological Experiment" a stranger returns from the dead to invoke fear into his killer. It has moments that are vivid, impactful, and a twist that makes you say, "What?!" With that in mind...Sit back, take a load off, or listen on your ride to work, take your shower, whatever activity you find yourself doing - ENJOY a new episode of Short...Story...Bingo!

Short Story Bingo 13 - "Dancing Like We're Dumb"
Friday Nov 03, 2017
Friday Nov 03, 2017
*Explicit Content* In this episode we read - once again - out of, "The Mammoth Book of Best New Horror 23"!
Happy Halloween...AGAIN! Another month is in the books ladies and gentleman, that's right, 2018 is that much closer. Thinking of your resolutions yet? Me either. I say, worry about the present. The verb present, which is what you are receiving with another episode of, Short Story Bingo! This story, is my favorite to date. "Dancing Like We're Dumb" is written by Peter Atkins, who also wrote, Hellraiser: II, III, IV! In a very modern tale in LA, you can feel, smell, and picture vividly. I swear, this story had me from the first sentence, as it begins with a description of a carjacking in literally something that I would have wrote for like a GTA bit or something. It stays very compelling throughout, weaving in and out of the present and five hours before to detail how Kitty got in the position she is now. Please excuse my little sniffles every now and again, I am a tad under the weather but made sure to get this out for YOU, 'cause i'm a soldier and no mucus will hold me down!

Short Story Bingo 12 - "They Die Nameless"
Friday Oct 27, 2017
Friday Oct 27, 2017
*Explicit Content* In this episode we read another gem from, "The Creepypasta Collection"!
Happy Halloween! Yes, this time of the year always provides a good spook or two, candy that you hope hasn't been opened, and scary stories to scare your friends or yourself with. We dive back into the CreepyPasta series with this episode. "They Die Nameless", is a story that captivates and low-key educates at the same time. I was intorduced to new historical figures in Akhenaten, Sekhmet, and King Tut's dead miscarriages. Yeah, I said it. Well, technically the story says it. Anywho, I am very happy to be back on track, shout out to Canada as the newest leader in DL's amongst countries other than the US. This story is chilling. Not much to add to that, except, imagine fading into nothingness. Losing all your friends, family, etc... This story follows a very eager, drivern, and young scholar who fell in love with his career. Curiosity get's the better of him and well, he opened pandora's box, which in this case is a sarcophagus. You will hear what I am talking about. It gets funky...quick!

Short Story Bingo 11 ( W/ Dirty Pete) - “The Tower”
Friday Oct 20, 2017
Friday Oct 20, 2017
*Explicit Content* In this episode we read out of, "The Mammoth Book of Best New Horror 23"!
I strolled my happy ass into Barnes and noble recently to go pick up, "The Art of the Donald". Seriously - I did. Instead I got lost in the short stories and damn mystery/horror section again. Mind you, after watching, "IT" I was itching to read something scary. So, in short, fuck you Donald, a short ass fictional story won that purchase escapade. I quickly was enthralled with all the new authors I was being introduced to, the new takes on horror, and just a big ass book full of content to introduce to you all! Mark Samuels has a very expansive vocabulary and a way to breakdown a location so well. "The tower" will show you that. In my attempt to pronounce words that I was just reading whilst also keeping pace with the momentus story line was a pleasure. This is a psychological thriller, which is not a spoiler, just saying don't expect anything all gory and overly apt to depict a ghoul that is at times way to over the top anyway.

Short Story Bingo 8 (W/ Will Wonder) - "A Dream of Red Hands"
Sunday Jul 16, 2017
Sunday Jul 16, 2017
*Explicit Content* In this episode we take a dive into the mind of infamous Bram Stoker in , "A Dream of Red Hands"!
This story is not quite, "dracula", which is not what I was expecting as it was anyhow. But I will tell you that this certainly takes an emotionally short rollercoaster of its own. I was joined in this episode by my good friend and DJ, Will Wonder (@DJWillwonder), him and I share some laughs whilst being taken aback at the progression of the characters. Being that this story was originally published in 1894 I am surprised at the longevity of it, asin, that it stil reads well today. Short Story Bingo 7 (W/ Ben Stine) - "The Sandman" (CreepyPasta)
Sunday Jul 09, 2017
Sunday Jul 09, 2017
*Explicit Content* In this episode we read another creepypasta classic, "The Sandman"!
We are back in action you beutiful people! Creepypasta.com is a gold mine for some of the creepiest stories I haveever read. "The Sandman" provides a look into a dark fear of losing something so close and not having the power to reverse things. Wonderfully written by Tam Lin, we are taken down a path of no return. While I was hoping James, the father, would have just taken his son Daniel out of the home to help the situation, I understood that the story would not have had the same impact...obviously. My good friend Ben Stine and I sit down, have a few laughs, a few adult beverages, and a whole lotta fun! Press play, enjoy, like, share, rate and subscribe!

Short Story Bingo 5 (Read by Angie Chacon) - "The Drum"
Friday Jun 30, 2017
Friday Jun 30, 2017
*Explicit Content* In this episode, I let my guest, Angie, read another tale from Alvin Schwartz, "The Drum"!
We are back and better than ever ladies and gents. I have some new equipment that is going to make new episodes even easier for you all! In this installment, I let my little sister, Angie, who happens to be in town, read a story. Being that it was her first time, she was a little nervous but ended up totally nailing this bizarre story of two little girls that obsess over a drum that is really not that neat at all. Nonetheless, we have multiple laughs in this one from Alvin Schwartz. It seems like he just endsd his stories which make you wanting more - every...single...time. We enjoyed some cherry coke, the pleasure of warmly baked chocolate cookies, and just some general banter in this gem. Enjoy, press play, like, share, subscribe!
